Dormitories initiative GOOD(s)2SHARE

Community | 2024-06-11

Are you moving out of the dormitory and have things you do not need? Join the dormitory initiative GOOD(s)2SHARE and donate the items you do not need to the future residents of the dormitory.

The main aim of the initiative is to contribute to the promotion of sustainability, responsible consumption and environmental responsibility in the University’s dormitory community by giving away unwanted but still usable items to future dormitory residents.

Residents wishing to donate items should leave them at the GOOD(s)2SHARE point in the lobby of the dormitory.

Here, you can donate the items that are:

  • slightly used, neat and clean;
  • fall into one of the categories listed below;
  • neatly prepared for donation and packed if necessary;
  • in working order (in the case of electronic devices, it is necessary to make sure they are working before handing them over).

Only the items that are neat, slightly used and in working order, that fit into the following categories, are accepted:

  • Kitchenware and small household appliances;
  • Electronics (USB, fans, desk lamps, irons, hairdryers, heaters, etc.);
  • Educational and leisure items (umbrellas, backpacks, bags, books, leisure items, stationery: notebooks, paper, pens, binders, etc.);
  • Cleaning tools (e.g., brooms), unused cleaning products (e.g. washing powder, cleaning products), storage containers (buckets, boxes), table mirrors, hangers for clothes, plants, decorations (e.g., light bulbs, photo frames etc.).

If you have items not listed here that you would like to give away or sell, you can take a picture of them and post an ad on the FB group.

Please do not donate:

  • Large appliances such as fridges, freezers, washing machines, microwaves, pressure cookers, etc.;
  • Batteries;
  • Textiles and footwear, food products, medicines.

Items can be picked up during the working hours of the administration of the Student Accommodation Centre, by contacting the manager/administrator of the dormitory or at the GOOD(s)2SHARE pick-up points that are open during the accommodation of the first-year students.

If you have any questions, please contact the manager/administrator of the dormitory.

For your convenience, we have prepared guide for the initiative GOOD(s)2SHARE.
