Dear residents,
As a tradition, we invite all dormitory residents to participate in the Christmas competition – The most Christmassy dormitory room window!
This year, we invite everyone to decorate their dormitory room windows with the theme – „Christmas in the Movies“.
Those with the most beautiful room windows decorations will receive prizes: the residents of the winning rooms who live in the dormitory during the competition will receive a one-time incentive scholarship of 3 BSB*.
We will award 2 rooms from each dormitory, except: 2, 7 dormitories, 1 room will be chosen in each of them.
Competition rules:
- Decorate your dormitory room window with a theme inspired by your favorite movie. It could be a classic Christmas film or any other movie that brings you holiday spirit. Use decorations that reflect the mood and essence of the movie;
- Take a photo of your decorated window and send the photo by email: bendrabuciai@ktusa.lt;
- Photos can be sent until 13.12.2024 9 p.m.;
- Do not use any extra apps that add extra attributes to your photo, be honest.
How the votes will be calculated:
- Facebook likes collected on Dormitory group page will amount 30 % of the final result – On December 18th the photos of all dormitories will be triggered by the Facebook account of the KTU dormitory community. The vote will take place before December 19, 00:00.
- KTU administration votes will amount 20% of the final result – pictures of the decorated dormitories rooms will be presented to the university administration staff who will cast their vote for the rooms they like the most.
- Students Association central office 20% of the final result – we will share photos of decorated dormitories rooms with Students Association central office who will cast their vote for the rooms they like the most.
- An additional 30% of the final result will be awarded to those who creatively and unexpectedly decorate their room’s window with a chosen film theme.
The winners will be announced on December 20th of 2024.

* If it is not possible to pay the scholarship, a partial or full next monthly dormitory fee will be covered.
